TECHNOLOGY PROGRAMS
Our career-focused tech programs are rooted in three key areas of interest: Engineering Technology (ET), Information Technology (IT), and Software and Information Systems (SIS). Not ready to choose a focus? Our Undecided Options expose you to a variety of areas before you have to declare a specialization**.
Whether you choose to focus in ET, IT or SIS, you can build a foundation across all three areas. That’s because our tech programs are anchored with Tech Core, strategically designed curriculum to help you build a foundation of interdisciplinary skills that will benefit you, regardless of the area of interest you choose.
TECH CERTIFICATE PROGRAMS
Prepare for a career in an in-demand technology field with a specialized DeVry certificate program, offered 100% online. Choose from:
- Information Technology (IT) Essentials Certificate
- Cyber Security Certificate
- Networking Essentials Certificate
- Programming Essentials Certificate
Our online IT Essentials Certificate Program will help prepare you with the fundamental IT skills that provide you with the experience to easily adapt into the fast-changing tech industry. This Certificate Program is stackable into an Associate in Information Technology and Networking (AITN), as well as several additional bachelor’s degree tracks. Stackable means that some of the courses you complete may be able to count toward your next degree or Certificate Program at DeVry.1
For DeVry’s Cyber Security Certificate Program, the curriculum includes specialized courses which dive into real-world, field-focused skills. Each course within this curriculum can be pieced into our Bachelor’s in Computer Information Systems (BCIS) and our Bachelor’s in Information Technology and Networking (BITN) stackable program options.
DeVry’s Networking Essentials Certificate Program will teach you how organizations and businesses are networked and exchange secured information. No prior IT experience/background is required for this certificate, which explores essential networking concepts. Earn this certificate in as little as one year.2 Gain hands-on experience with Internet of Things (IoT) technologies through DeVry’s IoT Kit.3 The Networking Essentials Certificate Program curriculum is aligned with industry certifications and helps to prepare students for exams including: CompTIA Linux+, CompTIA NETWORK+, CompTIA Cloud+, &/or CCNA.
Once you have earned your Networking Essentials Certificate, apply qualifying credits to an associate and/or bachelor’s degree from DeVry, which can save you both time and money in furthering your education.
When you earn a Programming Essentials Certificate from DeVry and you’ll be prepared to write code and create applications using industry-recognized programming languages like Python and C#. As with the Networking Essentials Certificate, no prior IT experience/background is required. This certificate can be earned in as little as 10 months2 and provides exposure to essential coding concepts. Students earning a Programming Essentials Certificate may pursue certification exams such as CompTIA Linux+ and Microsoft Technical Associate – Python. In addition, qualifying credits from this certification program can be “stacked” toward earning an associate and/or bachelor’s degree from DeVry, which can save you both time and money.
Feel confident knowing that DeVry’s certificate programs are built on curriculum that helps prepare you for entry-level positions in sought-after technology fields.
