THE YELLOW RIBBON PROGRAM

The Yellow Ribbon GI Education Enhancement Program (Yellow Ribbon Program) is a provision of the Post-9/11 Veterans Educational Assistance Act of 2008, also known as the Post-9/11 GI Bill® or Chapter 33. The Yellow Ribbon Program allows DeVry or Keller to enter into a voluntary agreement with the Department of Veterans Affairs to contribute funds to our veterans' unmet tuition and eligible fee charges when their tuition and eligible fees charges exceed the maximum amount payable under Chapter 33. The program allows DeVry or Keller to contribute an amount up to 50 percent of veterans' unmet costs; the Department of Veterans Affairs will match the amount.

TO RECEIVE BENEFITS UNDER THE YELLOW RIBBON PROGRAM:

  • You must be eligible for the maximum benefit rate under the Post-9/11 GI Bill®.
  • You must not be on active duty or a spouse transferee of an active duty member.
  • Your school must agree to participate in the Yellow Ribbon Program.
  • Your school must have not offered Yellow Ribbon to more than the maximum number of individuals stated in their participation agreement.
  • Your school must certify your enrollment to the VA, including Yellow Ribbon program information.

“My professors were awesome. They were patient, really explained the material and were willing to work with students if they need assistance. They responded quickly to emails and some will even give you their personal numbers if the issue is time sensitive.”
