TECH CERTIFICATE PROGRAMS

Our online IT Essentials Certificate Program will help prepare you with the fundamental IT skills that provide you with the experience to easily adapt to the fast-changing tech industry. This Certificate Program is stackable into an Associate Degree in Information Technology and Networking (AITN), as well as several additional bachelor’s degree tracks. Stackable means that some of the courses you complete may be applied toward your next degree or Certificate Program at DeVry.
DeVry’s Cyber Security Certificate Program includes specialized courses that help students develop field-focused skills. Students will explore topics including infrastructure security, cyber defense, network security testing and security planning/auditing. Each course within this program can be stacked into our Bachelor’s in Computer Information Systems (BCIS) with a specialization in Cyber Security Programming and our Bachelor’s in Information Technology and Networking (BITN) with a specialization in Cyber Security stackable program options.
DeVry’s Networking Essentials Certificate Program will teach you how organizations and businesses are networked and exchange secured information. Gain hands-on experience with Internet of Things (IoT) technologies through DeVry’s IoT Kit.2 The Networking Essentials Certificate Program curriculum is aligned with industry certifications and helps to prepare students to pursue exams including CompTIA Linux+, CompTIA NETWORK+, CompTIA Cloud+, and/or the Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) exam. No prior experience is required for this certificate, which explores essential networking concepts. Earn this certificate in as little as one year.3
Once you have earned your Networking Essentials Certificate, apply qualifying credits to an Associate Degree in Information Technology and Networking with a specialization in Network Systems Administration, or any specialization of a Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology and Networking from DeVry.
When you earn a Programming Essentials Certificate from DeVry, you’ll be prepared with the skills to write code and create applications using industry-recognized programming languages like Python and C++. Students earning a Programming Essentials Certificate may pursue certification exams such as CompTIA Linux+ and Microsoft Technical Associate – Python. In addition, qualifying credits from this certification program can be “stacked” and applied toward earning an Associate Degree in Information Technology and Networking with a specialization in Information Systems Programming or any specialization of a bachelor’s degree in either Computer Information Systems or Software Development from DeVry. As with the Networking Essentials Certificate, no prior experience is required. This certificate can be earned in as little as 10 months4 and provides exposure to essential coding concepts.
Prepare to pursue a career in software design with DeVry’s Software Design and Solutions Certificate. Employment for software developers is expected to grow, on a national level, 22 percent between 2019 and 2029, which is faster than the average for all occupations.5 Courses in this 100% online certificate covers programming, database concepts and the implementation of design strategies. No prior experience is required. Make the most of a Software Design and Solutions Certificate from DeVry by applying qualifying credits toward DeVry’s Bachelor’s Degree in Software Development with a specialization in Software Design and Programming, or DeVry’s Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Information Systems with a specialization in Software Programming.
In a world where it seems everything is connected to an app, DeVry’s Web and Mobile Application Development Certificate covers the specialized knowledge needed to design the interactive web and mobile applications of the future. This program is designed to teach the skills and concepts needed to pursue careers in mobile app development, communications and web design. Earn this certificate and stack qualifying credits into DeVry’s Bachelor’s Degree in Software Development with a specialization in Web and Mobile Application Development. No prior experience is required for this fully online certificate, which can be earned in as little as 1 year and 4 months.6
DeVry’s Data Mining and Analytics Certificate is for those with an interest in numbers and problem solving using data. This certificate teaches the skills needed to build, verify and test data models to help make sound business decisions. Students will learn statistical methods for data analysis, data visualization and storytelling approaches that promote scientific, data-driven decision. No prior experience is required. Complete this certificate and apply 1/3 of the credits toward a Bachelor’s Degree in Software Development with a specialization in Big Data and Analytics from DeVry.
